MyTrueIdentity.com
Hi Terry,
Both my husband and I got a letter from USFertility, Return Mail Processing Center. It says that “USF experienced an IT security event that involved the inaccessibility of certain computer systems on our network as a result of a malware infection. ” So they are offering complimentary credit monitoring through “myTrueIdentity,” a subsidiary of Trans Union. It provides an activation code to sign up on www.MyTrueIdentity.com. They don’t ask for a credit card, but does what me to provide a security question and the last 4-digits of my SSN. I am a recent victim of unemployment fraud, so now I am really leering about giving out any information. Do you know if “MyTrueIdentity” is legit?
BTW, I did follow your step by step guide of what to do if you are a victim of unemployment fraud. Thank you so so much for the resource!

It’s just a credit monitoring service and I’m not sure it they are really connected with TransUnion. I’ll ask as I’m in an ongoing dialog with them about defaulting people into their credit monitoring service when they try to get their credit report!
BUT — if you did everything on this list including freezing your credit, and keep watching your existing accounts online for unexpected charges, you don’t need this service anyway!
