YOUR ARTICLE WAS VERY INTERESTING I FELL INTO THE OBSERVATION TRAP WITH MY MOTHER THE HOSPITAL DOES KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS THEY TELL YOU THEIR IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO HELP YOU I MADE CALLS TO MEDICARE AND OTHER HEALTH AGENCIES AND THEY NEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS THIS IS A REAL COSTLY PROBLEM FOR SENIORS THE HOSPITAL ALSO TOLD ME THAT THEY WILL NOT GIVE ANY PAPERWORK TO ME YOUR ARTICLE SOUNDS GOOD BUT IN THE REAL WORLD NO ONE WILL HELP YOU YOU ON YOUR OWN

Exactly, which is why I wrote this article. I am so sorry you fell into this trap. You’re not alone.
Some hospital professionals have told me their “admissions” policies must fall under Medicare guidelines. But if you don’t know about this trap, the consequences can be very expensive!!
