Ask Terry Questions medicare advantage

medicare advantage

By Terry Savage on November 13, 2023 | Insurance & Annuities

my question is regarding the push for Med Advantage. My former employer AT&T has negotiated a giant deal with United Healthcare and so encouraging all of us to move to Advantage. Did I understand you to say that you can’t easily switch back to traditional Medicare after year one if dissatisfied? I currently have no medical issues and no prescriptions at age 70. I realize that can change at any time! will i regret changing?? thanks very much for your advice always! much appreciate.

Please read the columns at my website. Some employers negotiate great deals for their retirees, or older workers. They create Advantage PPOs,where they pay for most doctors, hospitals.
BUT that deal can change. Physicians can drop out. If you have an ongoing illness, you may not be able to go back to traditional Medicare and get a great supplement like Plan G.
