Not getting Medicare at 65 if still working

By Terry Savage on March 14, 2025 | Insurance & Annuities

Miss Terry: Is there a penalty if you don’t sign part A at 65.
My brother is still working with a company sponsored health insurance.
And looking to retire at 70.
Any Advice.
Thanks

Terry Says

There is no penalty for not signing up for any part of Medicare, as long as he has comparable insurance from work. And as long as his company insurance does not require Medicare Part A as part of their program.
