Should I file for Social Security now
Hi! I’m 65. Have TRS retirement pension. Am eligible for social security as well. I was going to wait but with the current chaos, should I file now while I can?

Honestly, despite all the news headlines, I do NOT think that SS is going out of business. There is just a huge constituency of voters of BOTH parties that are too demanding of their benefits.
At the very least, wait until your full retirement age — nearly 67.
