These annuities are designed to get assets out of your name, so you can qualify for state/federal funded custodial care. Just take a look at what’s happening with Medicaid these days (with all due respect to the people who work in these facilities) and how there are fewer people (read immigrants) around to do the dirty work, and how the government is trying to cut funding — and ask yourself why on earth you would want to put yourself into a Medicaid-funded nursing home in y our old age?!!!
