Do I have to sign up with login.gov & why. I’m already getting my ss deposited to my bank.

No, if you don’t want to change anything, you don’t have to do anything!
In the future, you will have to make changes online (or in person at a SS office –if there are any open by that time!) For that you’d need to create a mySocialsecurity account here:
https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/
And to do that you’ll need a login.gov account, which is explained at the link above.
