Debit card fees
Businesses are increasingly adding service fees for debit cards. I’ve looked over the law and see that it’s lawful to charge fees, but what changed that it’s becoming more frequent. This is occurring most often in restaurants.

That’s because the interchange providers offer immediate payment to the restaurant on a debit –but have started charging the restaurant a fee for this service. The restaurant is just passing it on!
