stock certificates
I have some old stock certificates from about 40 years ago. I,m not sure if the companies are still in business. What do I do with these old certificates. I am not sure if they have any value. Have enjoyed your column for many years. Thank You…

The easiest first step is to contact the transfer agent – the bank organization listed on the back of the certificate. They can tell you if the company was merged, or went out of business.

They may not have any market value, but some certificates are just collectors items!
