It depends on what’s INSIDE the mutual fund! If it’s stocks, and the market goes down, yes — the value of your mutual funds will fall. That’s pretty basic.
And the fact that you don’t understand that means you need someone who is not trying to sell you something, but someone who will work on a fee-only basis to help you do some financial planning.
