Hospital bills (cancer)
I’ve been fighting cancer since 2018, there’s a number of bills that have accumulated some of them have been written off. Occasional letter coming in the mail that a private organization is picked up some of the debts. Currently Cancer center of Hinsdale is treating me for my sister currents of liver cancer metastatic breast cancer natural but treatable. So my question is are there more organizations out there willing to pick up the debt does it show on my credit background since some have gone to collection agencies I’m 70 should I really be worried.

First, I’m so sorry for your situation. A bit of your message is garbled, but let me do my best to answer.
As of January, 2025, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau banned the reporting of medical debt on your credit report. But as we have all seen, the CFPB is under attach by the current administration.

I am going to suggest that you get trusted, helpful advice in dealing with this situation. You can get that by calling the National Foundation for Credit Counseling at 800-388-2227. You can trust them to give you the right advice. They can help you deal with your creditors, and let you know what’s at risk, given your specific situation.
