I’d like to throw a little risk capital into gold. Is it better to buy physical gold or invest in a fund that buys gold mining related companies?

If you want to invest directly in teh price of gold, you can buy the Spider Gold Shares Trust — symbol GLD. Or a mutual fund that buys shares of gold mining companies. REad this recent article:
