Child care tax credit
If my husband and I filed our taxes a week before our son was born, will we still be able to get the child care tax credit monthly?

You should go to www.IRS.gov/childtaxcredit and register your child’s Social Security number if you want to get the credit in advance, monthly. Otherwise you can claim it when you file your tax return next April. It is a refundable credit. And that would probably be simpler.
