ETF vs Roth
I’ve lost 20% of my ETF, and it didn’t have that much in it to start. I’m wondering if I should pull my money out or roll it over to a Roth…and what the consequences would be of each.

Wait, you’re very confused. Is your current ETF investment inside an IRA of any type? The entire stock market is down 20% — and may go down farther. So if you have a lot of fear or a short-term time horizon, you can just sell and move it to a money market mutual fund inside your IRA. Or, if not in an IRA, you can sell, and write off the loss against ordinary income.
If you’re older and need the money, you might want to at least sell half. Taht way you will only be half wrong — or half right. And you might sleep better.
I don’t know which ETF you own, and I don’t know anything about your situation, so this is general advice.
