Ask Terry Questions European perspective

European perspective

By Terry Savage on April 07, 2025 | Wild Card

I live in Europe as an American for a short time. I have noticed that the Europeans are talking and developing industries for trade and military grade weapons with each
other on the continent and outside. The trend appears to be moving away from the United States which has become unpredictable and unreliable in it’s agreements with other nations. Europe and Canada are discussing to develop and produce their own economies and military industries without the USA and trade with China and other countries in the world. Yes, it takes time to develop but once the commitments are made , it’s billions of dollars in 2-4 years and Europe/Canada are not likely to change and return to the USA to purchase any new manufacturing or military wares since they are producing or trading for them with each other and with other countries. Is it possible we will have fewer trading partners and only economic decline? Thank you.

That’s a definite possibility — one that doesn’t seem on the radar of this administration! Thanks for your note.
