Ask Terry Questions Goverment TSP funds

Goverment TSP funds

By Terry Savage on February 25, 2024 | Investments

Hi Terry,
Love your column in the Sunday edition of the Sentinel, here in Orlando.
I would like to know if there are any funds that match the TSP C or S funds
that I had before retiring from the P.O. Is so, do you reccomend any of them?
Thank you, and have a great day.

Terry Says

The TSP — C plan is just an S&P 500 stock index fund. You can find them at Fidelity and Vanguard and T. Rowe Price.
The TSP — S plan is basically a small cap index fund, tracking companies too small to be included in the S&P 500 stock index. You’ll also find those funds at low cost at Fidelity, Vanguard and T Rowe Price.

And if you’re thinking of doing a rollover, read this recent column:

You can do this yourself and avoid advisory fees that can really eat into your returns!
