IDES credit balance
I am a dentist and have accumulated a credit balance of $1,795.54 since 2019 in my IDES Unemployment Insurance account. I have repeatedly reviewed the IDES website and cannot figure out how to use this balance to pay the next payment due. The phone number given, 312-338-4337, is so full of static that it’s unusable. I cannot figure out how to talk to a human. Using the contact, help or IDES Assistant options just gives useless phone numbers or refers back to the IDES website.
Any help would be appreciated.

Well, that’s an unusual question to say the least — a credit at IDES. I assume you’ve tried this page at the IDES website (for employers).
And that you’ve tried to use this form at the IDES website designed to adjust payments.
Beyond that, I can’t find you any help. they don’t answer ANY phone calls. But if you don’t make the current quarterly required payment, I’m betting they will reach out to you! Then you can explain that you have an overpayment and couldn’t figure out how to apply it!
