Im about to change BC/BS F to BC/BS Advantage Flex tomorrow with Broker.
I have been on the phone these past few days with agents for health insurance.
I thought I had a clear idea of what I wanted which was the BC/BS Advantage Flex plan.
But now I heard you briefly say on the WGN morning show to be aware of advantage plans. The Flex plan is $221 less than what I’m paying monthly and also includes drugs(I am in tier 1 and tier 2 ). It has 0%, and no co-payments. The insurance broker is going to contact me tomorrow to change plans. My question is this a good plan to be on and is there any glitches I should be aware of?

These Advantage plans work till you get sick. Then you still have out of pocket expenses which can offset the cheap monthly premiums quickly. AND you have to deal with limitations of care noted in this article! So if you can afford it, stick with traditional Medicare and your supplement!
