I read your article about identity theft and I was curious why you didn’t suggest a company like LifeLock for anyone I have no skin in the game
Anyways I feel like I need to sign up for some service because I’m gonna regret the day my identity gets stolen is there a service she would suggest

The idea is to PREVENT identity theft from happening! You can do that by freezing your credit (FREE) at each of the three credit bureaus. Then, no one can open up new credit accounts in your name.
You can also use double factor authentication to access your accounts online. And watch your account balances and credit report on a regular basis.
And you don’t nee4 to pay anyone to do that for you. It should be part of your regular activities.
Those services primarily serve to help you “restore” your identity after it is stolen –with advice on what to do. But you can get that info free at the Identity Theft Resource Center.
