Inherited IRA
Is there a way to minimize taxes on an inherited IRA?
Terry Says
That depends on whether you are a spouse or not. A spouse can roll the inherited IRA into his/her own — delaying withdrawals.
Everyone else must withdraw in 10 years, paying taxes — unless it was a Roth IRA.
YOu need to look at this as part of your overall financial plan, retirement issues, etc.
Consider getting a fee-only fiduciary planner to help you make this decision.
