Investment adviser

By Terry Savage on February 07, 2024 | Investments

My investment advisor indicates he does not charge me to invest in their specific funds. How does financial advisors make their money?

Terry Says

You advisor MUST disclose all fees and commissions! For sure he/she is getting paid,
Ask if he is charging you an annual management fee, likely deducted from your an account balance. Ask the amount and whether it is a percent of assets
Ask if there is either an upfront commission or, worse, a backend commission/fee whe you sell.
Ask I’d he is paid annually out of fund management fees that the fund charges against your account value.

If he denies all of these fees, take your money and run as fast S you can!
