I will be receiving $125,000 from a business property I have sold. I am not sure what to do with it. I am retired and do not need the money to live off of. I have $300,00 in cd’s. $70,000 in stock market. $20,000 in money market and approximately $25,000 in checking, I am 77 years old and own my own condo worth $250,00. I have no debt. Please help me figure out what to do with this money.

Well, first don’t tell any other woman but me!! For sure there is someone out there who will help you spend it! A lot depends on what you want to do with the rest of your life. And that’s something you should be thinking about. Do you want to have a second home in a warmer climate? Do you want to travel, assuming that becomes easier with time?
And if you were to die in a few years, who would receive all that money? Do you have children? Grandchildren?
This is where a good financial planner can help you. Perhaps you want to buy a life insurance policy with them as beneficiary, but one that could provide long-term care benefits if needed down the road.
First, think about the future. Then go online to Wealthramp.com where you will find fee-only (not trying to get commissions) financial advisors who promise to put your interests first. In other words, you can trust them.
