I saw these as a new alternative to building my own ladder of Treasury Bonds to generate income from “chicken money”. It also seems to mimic an annuity by returning principle along with interest in a tax efficient way without turning money over to an insurance company. Has this crossed your radar screen? If so, what do you think about this as an option to the work of managing a Treasury Direct account?

I had heard of this, but not studied it. It’s an interesting solution to the problem of staggering returns. I guess I’m old fashioned, and prefer to create my own ladder, directly with TreasuryDirect.
